Sometimes it gets discouraging driving around, touring new listings and being disappointing by the quality of inventory. I was feeling that way as I toured this morning, but luckily my last stop, 32680 Coast Ridge just down the coast in Carmel Highlands, was a wonderful surprise. It's rare that I fall in love with a home listed at $1,580,000. I know that is sad to say, but these days inventory at this price point tends to need a lot of work! But not here. Overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean in the distance, this home enjoys a relatively flat acre parcel with beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces. The property has a rustic charm, inside and out. Just shy of 2,000sf, the home has a nice floorplan with cozy details. My favorite being the fireplace in the kitchen and dining area and how the beautiful windows perfectly frame the ocean view. Just a 5 minute drive to the Rio Road & Hwy 1 intersection, this is certainly an enchanting place to call home.

Bill Mitchell dies at 83
If you never met Bill Mitchell, by all accounts, you should wish you had.
Mitchell, who died March 26, was a man who was decorated for his service as an Air Force pilot in Vietnam, went on to fly commercially for three decades, established what would become the Monterey Peninsula's foremost luxury real estate firm, gave generously of his time and resources — and amidst all of that, managed to squeeze every bit of fun out of life.
